Safety
When it comes to safety, M. J. Russo Construction does not believe in shortcuts. When we are working on a project, we make sure that people, property, and the environment are all protected.
PROPERTY: We make sure your property is protected against both unintended consequences and bad behavior. To prevent any unintended consequences, we do a careful inspection of all structures to understand the impact the project could have and then engage in any mitigation strategies neccesary to lessen or eliminate the risk. We also check with the local utility companies to make sure the work to be done is safe (obviously, this is extremely important for the people and the environement as well). In term of possible bad behavior, we screen all our employees carefully and try hard to hire only reliable, proven professionals. Of course, even the strictest of precautions and safeguards are not 100% guaranteed so to ensure your complete protection iagainst any possible property damage, we are fully bonded and insured.
PEOPLE: In terms of people, our employees always work with the appropriate safety gear. The work area is demarcated with cones and, when operating heavy equipment, we always have one person actually operating the equipment and one person supervising to ensure the safety of passersby as well as the other workers. We also always perform our work in accordance with all state and local building and safety codes.
ENVIRONMENT: Going green is all the rage now but at M. J. Russon Construction we have been environmentally conscious since we opened our doors.
Part of our inspection process before we start a job is to understand any possible negative enviromental impact - no matter how minor -- and to recommend mitigation strategies. Naturally, we recycle any material that can be reused and properly dispose of all materials that can't be reused.
The most environmentally friendly aspect of what we do is that we use natural stone and stone pavers in our construction. Stone is inherently earth-friendly. Stone and stone pavers offer many attractive, environmentally friendly attributes, including an enduring life-cycle, durability, ease of care and maintenance, and recyclability.
Building with stone shows that you take responsibility to care for the earth by actively striving to preserve, restore or improve the natural environment. Conserving resources, preventing pollution, and minimizing waste are just some of the reasons stone is one of the nost ecofriendly ways to go green.
